I love how all four choices are full of ethnic flavor! Developed by chefs, the recipes are very enticing. Look at all those yummy ingredients which are all non-GMO and nothing artificial. Just the way I like it!

The Three Cheese Tortellini is made with organic cheese alongside organic spinach and mushroom in a savory marinara sauce. The kids were a bit jealous I was eating tortellini. I sprinkled a bit of fresh parmesan on top and I even had a leftover breadstick in the fridge to go with it!

The bowls you cook them in are very unique. The main ingredients sit on the top and the sauce is in another bowl nestled beneath. They are vented to allow the steam to come through to cook. Pour and mix together when they are done heating and voila your meal is ready.

Here is Creamy Spinach & Tomato Linguini: Pasta with organic spinach and tomatoes.

Also try the Unwrapped Burrito Bowl and Sweet & Spicy Asian-Style Noodle Bowl if you like a bit of spice. I usually pair my lunch with whatever fresh fruit I have in the house. Can’t beat that for real food that is easy, healthy and quick!

Win Van’s Waffles for a Year Giveaway Event

August is here. We start school in 15 days. I have mixed emotions and already wracking my brain trying to determine what to feed the kids during the year in their lunches. Good thing breakfasts are easy. Many times we eat Van’s gluten free waffles.

Recipe for Fall Harvest Fruit Waffles

Van’s conducted a survey of 1,000 moms and asked them to describe their mornings. From the survey, Van’s found that while moms may forfeit “glam for fam,” serving wholesome breakfasts is one area they are not willing to compromise.:

58% said they rush through their morning hair or makeup routines (what? I don’t even do it til later. ha!)

Nearly 40% admit to wearing pajamas to drive their kids to school (glad I’m not the only one!)

17% who apply makeup in the car (oh have none. ha!)

Nearly 70% of moms said they feel better about themselves when they serve a hot breakfast, and they count protein, whole grains and kid-friendliness as the lead factors for making good choices for their families.

Recipe for Banana & Honey Minis

Van’s offers a variety of options for all types of eaters, from kid-favorite Van’s Minis (with 27 grams of whole grain per serving) to Van’s Gluten-Free Waffles (free of gluten, dairy and egg) and Van’s 8 Whole Grains Waffles (with 7 grams of fiber).
