It was a Mission Impossible Night

The kids were dying to eat their snacks that we purchased at Murphy USA the other night. If you click in HERE you can see our shopping trip and all of the choices they had at our local gas station. It was really kids in a candy shop, with their tongues wagging, as I told them they could each pick out any snack for our special movie night.

Earlier in the day, I ran errands and visited Blockbuster where I rented MI II. Hubby liked this one the best out of the series, and me, well I just like a little Tom Cruise.

As soon as daddy walked in the door tonight, we put the pizza in the oven to bake, the snacks got laid out, our Coke poured, and I pushed play on the movie. We had been telling the boys about this great spy movie and they were anxious to watch.

The movie fools you right from the start and the bad guys are ahead. Not for long as Tom Cruise ‘aka Ethan’ goes on an impossible mission to figure out what they are up to while endangering the life of a beautiful woman who is acting like a spy for the good side.

The boys are loving the scenes full of disguises, gun fights, and lots of tech gear. I’m loving the longer wavy hair, the ripped muscles, and the love story. Every scene was action packed ~ climbing cliffs, leaping from dangerous heights, dangling from buildings. It kept our eyes glued to the screen. Even O’Bear seemed to sit still the entire time and that is very unusual!

I don’t know what my family loved more. A new fun movie that Hubby claims has one of the best ending chase/fight scenes or eating all the snacks they wanted!

What kind of movies does your family like to watch together? What do you munch on?

Real Moms Love To Eat

I must be a Real Mom then, because I LOVE to eat!

Eating is my downside in life. It is what gets me into trouble – sugar, chocolate, fried. My favorites. Struggling with my weight is always something I’ve had to deal with, but as a mom it has become even harder. I don’t have time to make it a priority. Or that is my excuse anyway.

Beth Aldrich wrote Real Moms Love to Eat: How to Conduct a Love Affair with Food, Lose Weight and Feel Fabulous.
Sounds right up my alley!

About: the book is broken down in three sections, which include a fun and easy-to-follow 10-part plan for moms to implement to make gradual, life-long changes in their approach to food and 21 days of meal suggestions, tips, recipes and lifestyle changes.

Beth knows what it is like to be a busy mom. It is unrealistic of us to spend hours in the kitchen every night! Between planning, shopping, preparing, cooking, and cleaning, the amount of time we spend with food is a lot! I would love to have guide to teach me how to make things easier ~ and fun!
