Safe Ear Cleaning with WaxVac Giveaway

Are you guilty of ear cleaning with q-tips? Well I definitely am! I’ve gotten lectured more than once on using them.

I was intrigued when I saw the WaxVac, a gentle and effective ear cleaning device. When I use q-tips myself, I know to be careful because I have poked myself in the past. When I help the kids clean their ears I worry a bit because I do not want to hurt them. How do I know if I’m going in their ear too far?

O’Bear has an ear wax issue. I don’t want to gross you out, but I’ve never seen so much wax come out of an ear before. We constantly have to be cleaning his ears. He was the first to test out the WaxVac. What is neat is that he can safely do it himself!

The WaxVac looks like a mini hair dryer with a point at the end where you attach silicone tips. Turn it on, gently put in your ear, and it draws dirt particles and moisture out of the ear. Neat? You don’t have to worry about any kind of poking or prodding or worry about harming your ear drums.

Use it over and over. Each family member can have a different colored tip which you can wash after each use.

What do you think? Want to give it a try?

  1. We have some really waxy kids too. We used to to say something like, “Let me look at the wax bugs in your ear.” Sometimes the wax build-up was quite painful too. =(

  2. Tis looks pretty interesting! I am guilty of using Q tips too! Eek!

  3. I have so much wax in my ears and I’m also guilty of using qtips. I could really use something like this. Thank you 🙂
