We Got Egged

I so wish I would have taken a picture now that I’m writing to tell you that our house got egged. It wouldn’t have been a pretty picture, but maybe it would have given you a chuckle for the day.

When I walked out to water my flowers this week, I noticed an eggshell cracked open. I instantly looked up thinking there was a bird’s nest some where above me. Nope, just dried egg yolk dripping down the side of my house.

At first I panicked because Hubby’s car sits in the drive all night. Did he have his doors locked? Was anything stolen? I needed a driveway alarm I thought to myself!

It really made me think about the security measures that we need to take more seriously then we do. In the past, I’ve been a big fan of security lighting, but have to admit that our current house doesn’t have motion sensors or anything.

Now would be a good time to go over what we should add to our home, while it’s fresh in our minds. This handy dandy infographic will help us.

Have you went over your home security options lately?

I didn’t think people egged houses anymore and if they did I thought I would be a group of teens doing it to one of their friend’s houses.

  2. Oh I would’ve been SO upset… what is wrong with ppl that they feel the need to be destructive. I’m sorry you had this experience!! I wish we had better home security like motion detector lighting!
