I inherited the potato chip gene. You will find my dad snacking on his chips all the time. Now I can not live without eating kettle chips with my sandwiches. yum yum yum!
About a month or so ago I found a display of new kettle style potato chips at the grocery store. They were on sale and their beachy Hawaiian name attracted me! I ate them with my lunch that day and was instantly addicted. They were some of the best kettle chips that I have eaten!
When I was contacted to try out all four flavors and host a giveaway, I was like, oh yeah! 🙂
Original- To capture the freshness and authenticity of the islands, this chip is slow cooked in the old Hawaiian tradition in a select blend of oils for a crispy, crunchy potato chip, finished with the just perfect pinch of salt to enhance the natural potato flavor.
I think if I have to pick a flavor of any style chip it will always be Original. I’m just a salty girl! But some chips, plain is bland. Not these – they are full of goodness and you will find yourself reaching for more…and more…
Sweet Maui Onion- Crispy, golden chips cooked to perfection, then seasoned with just the right amount of Sweet Maui onion flavor.
I am a semi-onion liker. This means I like the flavor of onion but don’t like a lot of them on my sandwiches. This chip is good! Hubby REALLY likes it and the bag was almost gone after he got done munching.
Luau BBQ- Although the front of the bag boasts Sweet and Spicy, consumers say it’s sweet and sassy and full of detectable flavor. Try putting these chips inside your next burger for a yummy twist.
BBQ is my second favorite chip. I buy this flavor a lot so I was excited to try this one. The bag said Sweet AND Spicy. I didn’t really believe until I tasted it! Spicy! But a good bbq-y spicy. I was impressed and I love it!
Wasabi- Discover a new world of flavor when you try these unique tasting chips which combine the zest of wasabi root with a kick of horseradish and thick sliced potato chips to create this ultimate island delight.
I was afraid to try this chip after reading the description. Hubby said it would be spicy. I’m not sure that is the right word. I’m going to say different. I tried it and let’s leave it at that!
You can buy the Hawaiian Style Potato Chips online if you would like to buy a case at a time or hopefully they are on the shelf at your local grocers.
